Show MESQUITE, Nev. Mrs. Daisy L. Reber Reporter Delias Barnum visited here with his family durins; the past 15 J days, after completing his boot j training at Farragut, Ida. lie left July 2nd for his new assignment. A drive for waste paper was held last week and the first prize of $3.00 was awarded to Frenchie Pulsipher; S2.00 to Lucille Pulsipher Pulsi-pher and 51.00 to Gary Hafen. Francis Fawkins and her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Cecil Ronzone of Montgomery, Mont-gomery, Ala., are visiting here with Mrs. Randall Frehner and Mrs. Marion Hughes. Walter Hughes and family left Monday for Pine Valley where he will spend the remainder of the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hughes spent the week end at Panguitch lake fishing. Mr. and Mrs. Derald Jensen of San Diego are visiting here with Mr. and Mrs. John Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff Leavitt have purchased a home in Las Vegas and moved their family down on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Abbott are renting their home and farm here. Lieut. Leonard Ernest Burgess is spending a few days visiting with his mother, Mrs. Florence Burgess. Mr. and Mrs. Earlin Tobler of Las Vegas spent the week end visiting at the home of John A. Tobler. Discharges from the hospital this week were Mrs. Don Lee and infant son and Mrs. Jennie Swyer and infant daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Leavitt entertained en-tertained at a farewell party in honor of their: son, Harley, who left for induction in the Navy. Others who left were Archie Hughes and Lester Barnum. Omer Jensen5 is visiting in Alameda, Ala-meda, Calif., with his brother, La Von and family. New Primary officers were put in Sunday. They were: Roka Barnum, president; Bessie Hortt and Nora Leavitt, counselors and Zelda Hughes, secretary. |
