Show Kanab Stake Temple Court Building Dedicated Dedication of the Kanab stake unit of the St. George Temple cottage court took place at the building Saturday morning, July 1st. A large group of Kanab people, along with many formerly of Kanab, who now reside in St. George, and other local people were in attendance. Pres. Charles C. Heaton of Kanab stake directed the program which began on the east lawns of the Temple. Community singing was followed by prayer by Bishop Alton Pugh of Glendale ward. Short addresses followed by President Presi-dent Heaton, Mrs. June McAllister, McAl-lister, Kanab stake Relief Society president, and Pres. Harold S. Snow of the St. George Temple. Following the program the audience audi-ence reassembled at the Kanab Temple cottage, where tribute was paid to Edward Carrol, stake work director, who has had charge of the construction of the building, build-ing, and to all his associates and all who have contributed in materials, ma-terials, labor or money for the completion of the building. Mr. Carrol was to have dedicated the building, but was unable to be present, due to the illness of Mrs. Carrol and the dedicatory prayer was offered by President Heaton. The building is now ready for occupancy, oc-cupancy, when the Temple opens in September. |
