Show Zion Park Stake Begins Work On Large Quota of Fruit for Church Welfare Zion Park stake is getting under way with its assignment on fruits processed for the church welfare program, reported their work directors di-rectors recently in St. George. More than 3000 cans of cherries were contributed by the growers and canned at the Hurricane plant during June and plans are made for meeting their quota on apricots, apri-cots, pears and peaches. The quota assigned them in cherries was 120 cases. They better than topped that amount. They are to provide approximately 800 cases of Elberta peaches and other fruits in proportion. According Ac-cording to reports the peach outlook out-look is very good and the stake anticipates being able to completely com-pletely fill its assignment in this product. |
