Show George Cannon Breaks Ankles and Toes In Fall George Cannon suffered broken bones in both ankles and the toes of both feet Thursday, June 29, while working on a silo in the Santa Clara fields. He was on the scaffolding at the heighth of about 12 feet, helping to remove cement forms. One of the form timbers stuck and when released struck him under the arm and overbalanced him. In attempting to regain his footing as he fell, he apparently struck against some cement, breaking toe and ankle bones in both feet. The bones were set and both feet put in casts. He is reported making improvement and returned home from the hospital hos-pital today, (Thursday). |
