Show Wadsworth Reports First Planting of Fish In Big Creek On Kolob Big Creek on Kolob mountain received re-ceived its first real fish planting on June 30th, reports J. Lawrence Wadsworth. Three years ago Mr. Wadsworth, Newell R. Frei and Attorney LeRoy H. Cox visited this vicinity and were so impressed im-pressed with its beauty and possibilities, pos-sibilities, they urged that state organization to plant it with legal sized trout. On June 30th they were able to make good their promise to the people in the east end of the county that this would be done, when they hired an extra truck to haul the 1600 legal sized fish to Big Creek for planting. plant-ing. This was done by the Washington Wash-ington County Wild Life association. associ-ation. Now that the Big Creek has been recognized and the first official of-ficial planting made, the organization organiz-ation feels to assure the people that this location will be sure to receive regular recognition and that this will become one of the most attractive fishing places. The scenery is all that one could desire, de-sire, says Mr. Wadsworth. It is high up on Kolob where the air is cool and this can become a fisherman's dream place. On June 26 of this year there were also 1600 legal sized fish planted in the Enterprise rservoir, which will continue to insure the sportsmen good fishing at that place. All in all the organization feels they are keeping this moving mov-ing forward. |
