Show Dixie College News Alpine Prince was named president presi-dent of the boys' chapter of Lamda Delta Sigma, college religious fraternity, fra-ternity, in an election last week. Assisting him will be Homer Christensen, secretary, and John Nelson, treasurer. D.J.C. A quota of 22 men arrived Saturday Sat-urday to take their primary WTS flight program. M. J. Miles will be in charge of the ground instruction, in-struction, with E. L. "Andy" Anderson An-derson taking care of the flight training. Qarl Moss has been employed em-ployed to teach physical education and military science to the trainees, train-ees, and David Malone will handle the code instruction. The college has not yet given up hope of getting an air cadet program started here, though no definite word is yet available. D.J.C. The Dixie, Hurricane and Woodward Wood-ward high schools are planning a drama and speech tournament to be held here on April 30. The events to be featured will be one-act one-act plays, dramatic and humorous readings and public speaking. The Dixie college play production produc-tion class is working hard on a series of six one-act plays to be presented April 8 and 9. The complete casts will be announced next week. Track and field activities at the college are being conducted on a limited scale this spring. The first competition will be an invitational meet for the high school students at Hurricane on April 16. Gas restrictions will likely prohibit entrance en-trance in the regional meet at Delta. There will be no inter-school inter-school competition for the college this year.
