Show Temple Marriage Unites Miss Ruth Hafen and S.Sgt. Phil Squire On Wednesday Pres. Harold S. Snow performed the ceremony in the St. George L. D. S. Temple at 1 p. m., Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Mar. 24th, uniting in marriage mar-riage Miss Ruth Hafen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Hafen of this city, and S.Sgt. Phil Squire of LaVerkin, who is home on furlough fur-lough from Camp White, Ore. A large company of relatives and close friends were present for the ceremony. Returning from .the Temple the couple were honored with an informal in-formal wedding dinner at the Hafen home for the two immediate im-mediate families, and a few close relatives. They left late Wednesday Wednes-day evening for a honeymoon trip to Los Angeles, planning to return Saturday, Mar. 27th, when the bride's parents will entertain at a reception for them in the L. D. S. Institute building. Both bride and groom were students of the Dixie junior college, col-lege, S.Sgt. Squire leaving in March of-. 1941 with the 115th Engineers for Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif., later transfers bringing him to Camp White. This is his first furlough in more than 20 months. He is to return to Camp White Sunday, and will be joined later by his bride, if his location permits. . |
