Show Here to visit his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Alldridge over the week end was Wayne All-dredge, All-dredge, Navy radioman, third class in Uncle Sam's sea service. Mr. Alldredge is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Alldredge of Garfield, Utah, and has been in the service for a little more than two years. He was called home last week to attend the funeral of his mother, the former Ermine Dalley of Summit, Sum-mit, Utah, and stopped over in St. George on his return to his post. Mrs. Clark Empey was hostess Monday afternoon to the Bridge Ettes at her home. Honors were shared by Mrs. Willard Milne and Mrs. Frank Holland. Murray Harris returned last Thursday evening to his home in Los Angeles, after visiting several days with his mother, Mrs. Minnie Harris and with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Blake. Mrs. D. Wilson Woodard entertained enter-tained a few inimate friends at her home Tuesday evening at dinner din-ner honoring Miss Emily Brough, on her 79th birthday anniversary. Miss Brough was also honored in the Center ward Relief Society Tuesday afternoon, giving a reading read-ing by request. One of the pioneer women of Kaysville, Utah, Miss Brough has had experience as nurse and school teacher and for the past several years has spent winters in St. George at Temple work. Mrs. Nettie Anderson and two children arrived last Thursday from Salt Lake City to visit for two weeks with her father, Samuel Sam-uel Brough, who has spent the winter in St. George at Temple work and will return with them to his home in Bountiful. The two children are registered in school for their stay here. |
