Show ttNTRAlT Mrs. Austin Bracken Reporter A large number of people from near-by communities attended the , farewell dance held Friday night for Leslie Bracken and Wayne Cannon who leave Wednesday for Fort Douglas for induction in the U. S. Army. Miss Nettie Prisbrey of Cedar City was a week end visitors here with relatives and friends. I Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Ward and Mr. and Mrs. Lew Fogg have moved from California to make their home at the former Hunt ranch, which is now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Ward. . Dr. Smith and Karl Johnson of California are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milford Barnum. Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Stratton that their son, Albert, serving in the Army at Camp Roberts, Calif., has been promoted to the rank of corporal. Grant Keyes is home from Las Vegas, where he has had employment. employ-ment. Max Cannon has purchased the Alvin Jones farm. Walter Winsor was in town last I Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Bracken, Mrs. Clara J. Bracken and M. E. ; Bracken were visitors in St. George Wednesday. shaw, Betty Stevens and Florine Tweedie; dancing followed. Books were presented to the outgoing superintendency and a fountain pen to Morris Hinton. Mrs. Gene Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Isom were business vistors in St. George last Friday. Anthony Isom left Sunday to resume his work in Alaska after coming for his brother's funeral. Price Workman is here "visiting his parents from Provo, where he is employed. Mrs. Cook of the U. S. A. C. is here- for the week directing a sewing class for the remodeling of clothing. |
