Show International Relations Discussed At B.-P.W. Club Miss Myrtle Henderson, chairman of the International Relations committee com-mittee was in charge of the B.-P. W. session Wednesday evening eve-ning in the College Science building, build-ing, when close-ups were given of the major allied nations. Mrs. Vivien Woodbury covered China's program, achievements and possibilties from an article in Readers' Digest. John H. Clarke of the L.D. S. Institute, who filled a mission in the British Isles, hailed England as a real Democracy Democ-racy whose dogged determination will insure her survival. A. K. Hafen, instructor in languages at the Dixie junior college reported his tour of Old Mexico, a land of legends and memories and of great contrasts resulting from the blend of Spanish and Indian cultures. cul-tures. He also exhibited many pictures. Principal Newell R. Frei of the Woodward high school discussed dis-cussed the New Russia and her place in the present war. These addresses were interspersed inter-spersed by two music numbers in costume, a duet by Pearl McAllister Mc-Allister and Ross Esplin, and a solo, "Ceilito Lindo", by Mrs. Mack Jackson, with A. K. Hafen and Laura Burgess accompanying the numbers on guitar and mandolin. |
