Show VIRGIN Mrs., Thelma Wilcox Mrs. Delmina Chenovic Reporters Sylvester Earl, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schofield, Mrs. Sarah Spendlove and Mrs. Oren Ruesch spent last Wednesday in St. George on business. busi-ness. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Lee entertained enter-tained at a surprise party Sunday Sun-day evening for their son, Merlin, on his birthday anniversary. Vernon Wilcox has returned home from Las Vegas where she has been visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Don Flanigan spent Sunday at Cedar City on business. Warren Bleak has gone to Cedar City to work. Our Red Cross drive ended with Virgin going over the top. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schofield, Sylvester Earl and Ethel DeMille have gone to Las Vegas to visit relatives. Mr. Schofield expects to leave for training in the U. S. air corps about April 10th. Jacob Lee has gone to Las Vegas to visit for several days. Loren Lee and Daniel Matthews were business vistors in St. George last Saturday. Pvt. J. Cornelius Returns Home Pvt. James Cornelius Jr., arrived ar-rived home Wednesday on furlough. fur-lough. He has been confined to a hospital for some time, being treated for injuries received while on active duty. Pvt. Cornelius was inducted into the Army in February 1942. This visit home gives him opportunity oppor-tunity to get acquainted with his five-months-old son, whom he had not previously seen. |
