Show Funeral Services Held At Hurricane for Mrs. George I. Spendlove HURRICANE, Utah. Funeral services were conducted in the Zion Park stake chapel, Wednesday, Wednes-day, Mar. 17th, at 3 p. m., by Bishop Orval Webb for Mrs. George I. Spendlove, who died earlier in the week. Music numbers included violin solos, Prof. Roy Halverson, of Cedar City; "I Know That My Redeemer Lives", by the Hurricane Hurri-cane high faculty quartet, with Vernon Church, A. Karl Larson, Owen Burgener and Ivan Barrett; Bar-rett; vocal solo, Mr. Barrett; and vocal duet, "It Was For Me", by Irene Brooks and Clinton Isom. Speakers were Heber Hirschi, Robert P. Woodbury, Maurice J. Nuttal, Pres. William L. Palmer of Cedar City and Pres. Elmer Graff of Zion Park stake. All testified to the good and faithful life of the deceased, whose great desire was that her children receive re-ceive good educations and be active ac-tive in their religious duties. They told of her congeniality, of her work in M. I. A. and her joy in uplifting and inspiring young people to improve their lives, and teaching the worthwhileness of human service. She was the mother of a large family of sons and daughters, who reflect her excellent teachings and those of their father, who was also a faithful faith-ful man in church and civic life. Prayers were by Frank Johnson and William Wilson, the grave in the Hurricane City cemetery being be-ing dedicated by Walter Brooks. |
