Show BUNKERYILLE, Nev. Mrs. Mary H. Leavitt Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Waite went to Salt Lake City with their 18-mohth-old daughter, Cathryn, who swallowed a penny Sunday evening. eve-ning. They stopped in St. George to get an X-ray picture, and found it lodged in her throat, so they went on to Salt Lake City with her, upon recommendation of the doctor. Moapa stake conference was held in Las Vegas . last Sunday. Pres. Rufus K. Hardy and Mr. Nelson of the Church Welfare program 'were in attendance. Neil Leavitt and Mrs. Charles Leavitt were appointed as stake missionaries mission-aries for the Bunkerville ward. Plate lunches were provided for all visitors. A huge crowd was in attendance. A "house-warming" party was held Tuesday evening at the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Hardy. It is also the birthday anniversary an-niversary of Elwood and LaMar Hardy.' ; 'Secret ballots were cast at last Tuesday evening's M. I. A. meeting to choose the queen for the Gold and Green Ball to be held Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. Candidates for queen were four "Leavitt" girls: Venna, Orla, Marion and Pauline; also Mrs. Clarice Hardy. The queen will be named and crowned during the dance Wednesday evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Durrel Adams and Mrs. May Adams returned from a trip to Idaho last Saturday. Elmer Leavitt went to Los Angeles An-geles to visit his daughter, Beth, who has a new baby girl. Miss Joan Leavitt has been with her sister for the past two weeks. |
