Show MOTOQUA Mrs. Wanda Guerrero Reporter The deer hunting season is over for another year and the hunters are gone from the hills, but the people of Motoqua, as well as the hunters themselves, will remember remem-ber and talk about it for some time to come. Although the rain made the roads almost impassable, there were more hutners in this section of the country than ever before. .Being so close to the dividing di-viding line both Utah and Nevada hunters work from camps at or near Motoqua. Not all the hunters secured their deer, but a satisfactory satis-factory number were taken out, and there is an assurance that an equal number of hunters will be back next year. Mr. and Mrs. John Bentley of St. George, Mr. and Mrs. Burt Guererro, Irvin Littlefield, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Terris, Mr. and Mrs. George Doss of Los Angeles were personal guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Guerrero during the hunting season. Mrs. Rachel Nelson returned to St. George Monday after spending spend-ing part of the hunting season at home here. Martin Larson's deer camp, as usual, was filled to capacity. Friends and relatives, new and old hunters from Utah and Nevada were there. James Knight of Los Angeles took out the largest deer, weighing 285 pounds dressed, that was checked out of the county. Hunters at the Nordin ranch included in-cluded John Nordin and Claude Albright, son and son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Nordin and a personal per-sonal guest, Ben Hutchinson, of St. George'. Mr. and Mrs. James Guerrero and son, John, motored to St. George Sunday evening to attend the movies. |
