Show Sandberg Explains Hurricane Project Before National Reclamation Meet In Phoenix The possibilities of the Hurricane project were explained by Chaun-cey Chaun-cey Sandberg at the Tenth Annual meeting of the National Reclamation Recla-mation association held recently in Phoenix, Ariz. Mr. Sandberg was one of a group of five who represented the Southern ' Utah Civic clubs at this meeting. Seventeen states were represented repre-sented with a total of 46 attending attend-ing from Utah. Pres. O. S. Warden Ward-en told delegates that the 17 states represented an assessed value of 17 billion dollars. Information released by officials offi-cials at the meeting indicated that unless projects are approved as defense projects there is small hope of their being started, even though they come under the Case-Wheeler Case-Wheeler catagory for which there is eight million dollars available. Mr. Sandberg reported a fine trip and a very educational meeting. meet-ing. He states that the Utah delegation del-egation was given a fine reception. |
