Show Look's Photographer Leaves With Pictures Look's1 staff photographer, Earl Thiesen, has been and gone and now the area he covered with Maurine Whipple will await with interest the result of his visit as evidenced in what his magazine uses of his pictures and Miss Whipple's script. Unquestionably people went out of their way to assist and from the photographer's repeated statements, he, found this city very intriguing. Lists Pictures Taken Among other things he was permitted per-mitted to photograph butter being be-ing molded with wooden bowl and paddle by Miss Julia Foster; and expressed great appreciation for the fine Eardley jar given him by Miss Foster. He took Mrs. Paul Seegmiller at the carpet loom, Mrs. Annie S. Condie showing a young bride, Mrs. Floyd Ence, the former Enid Bradshaw of Hurricane, Hurri-cane, how to make soap the good old pioneer way. Mr. and Mrs. Ence were the young couple chosen chos-en for the bride and groom pictures pic-tures of modern L. D. S. homes and took time off from their honeymoon hon-eymoon to accomodate Miss Whipple Whip-ple and the photographer. One setting of home life was taken at the A. K: Hafen home showing the manner of ward teachers visits, vis-its, with Jay Huntsman and Ted Snow as the teachers. Pictures Taken of Buildings St. George's many historic buildings build-ings came in for their share of attention, as also the Sugar Loaf, the city from various angles, and shots were taken in Zion National Na-tional Park. Miss Whipple left Sunday with Mr. Thiesen to cover other parts of the state, on locales with which her book, "Giant Joshua" is concerned con-cerned . |
