Show Funeral Services Held In Hurricane On Friday For Duard Stout By JULIA WHITNEY HURRICANE, Utah. Funeral services were held in the stake chapel Friday for Duard Stout, 24-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Marrion F. Stout, who died of heart trouble at Shelly, Ida., on Oct. 26. The services began at 2:00 p.m., with Rodney Stanworth in charge. The first number was a duet, "It Was For Me", by Mrs. Walter Brooks and Clinton Isom. Marvin Terry offered the opening prayer. Joel J. Roundy was the first speaker and talked of the dependability depend-ability of Duard and of his willingness will-ingness to help. He also appealed to the family to acknowledge the hand of the Lord in the calling of this young man, that He had a mission for him to perform on the other side. Owen F. Burgcner and Lafayette Staheli next rendered rend-ered a trombone and cornet duet entitled, "Whispering Hope". R. P. Elmer Mathison of New Harmony was the next speaker and talked of his friendship with the Stout family. The Ladies' trio, consisting of Mrs. Walter Brooks ,Mrs. Leon Sullivan and Mrs. Cumen Stratton, next rendered rend-ered the number, "Day Dawn Hope". Claud Hirschi, the concluding con-cluding speaker, talked of the never complaining attitude of Duward, and of the good clean life he had lived. The Ladies trio next sang, "I Know That My Re deemer Lives", followed by Wil ford Leany offering the closins prayer. 5 Born in Hurricane, April 9 1917, he was a son of Mr and Mrs. Marion F. Stout. He has been a resident of this city until last April, when he left to work on a farm near. Shelley, Ida. Surviving him besides his par-ents par-ents are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Thomas Thorlev Mrs. Zealot Millet and Mrs. Clyde Smith, all of Cedar City; Mrs. R. A. Pierce, of Hawthorne, Nev.; Edwin H. Stout, Lawrence Stout, Elton Stout, Orval Stout, Alta Stout, Ray Stout, Boyd Stout and Dell Stout, all of Hurricane. |
