Show Play School Mothers Stake Party For Children Here Friday With I he cooperation of the Mothers' Club, the VV. P. A. Play School teachers staged a Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en parly last Friday afternoon after-noon for more than 70 registered pro-school children. Every child came costumed and there were dolls, animals, comic strip characters char-acters and spooks galore for the afternoon's entertainment which took place in the class rooms and the Elementary school gym. Opening the program, Mrs. J. I. Ricketts had the wrapt attention of every child as she told the story of "Hallowe'en Among the Animals". At the conclusion of the story the children were marched into the gym, where the mothers assisted in directing the masked characters to the four corners of the room for a round of games every one knew and took part in. This was a riot of fun for both children and leaders and not a single child failed to participate. After the games the Mother's club served Jack-O-Lantern packages pack-ages of Hallowe'en candies and concluded the party in time for the children to participate with their various wards in the grand stake Primary Hallowe'en street parade and festival. |
