Show Red Cross Membership Drive To Get Underway November 12 The annual American Red Cross drive for membership takes on added significance this year with war conditions rapidly coming to the front. For this reason Mrs. Reed Blake, Washington County Red Cross chairwoman, is urging the wholehearted support of all citizens in the membership drive which will get underway Nov. 2. Red Cross workers are all ready being called upon to do a considerable consid-erable amount of work in U. S. Army camps with every indication indica-tion that this work will increase in the future. Funds for this work must come from the membership mem-bership fees received by the national na-tional organization. The membership member-ship fee is divided with half of it going to the national organization and half of it be retained by the county chapters. As an indication of the work that is done to assist U. S. Service Serv-ice men the following letter is submitted. The service was given when the Red Cross office of Port Snelling, Minn., asked that the local chapter give every assistance to the Army boys who had the wreck here recently. Following is the letter: Mrs. Jessie K. Empey, Home Service Chairman, (Continued on page five) Red Cross Drive (Continued from first page) Washington County Chapter, American Red Cross, St. George, Utah. RE: Pvt. Renolds Cairncross Pvt.
