Show MESQUITE Mrs. Daisy L. Reber Reporter A housewarming was given in honor of Mrs. Heber Hardy last Friday afternoon by her sisters, Mrs. Fay Leavitt,- Mrs. Annie Leavitt and Mrs. Horace Greely. After games and a short program, refreshments were served to about thirty guests. School is dismissed for four days this week while all teachers at-t at-t e n d district institute at Las Vegas. A social was given in honor of Rondo Bauer Tuesday evening after aft-er Mutual. He will leave Tuesday Tues-day for the training camp. This is the second boy to leave from here. Rene Leavitt left last January. Jan-uary. The Relief Society prepared and served a banquet to members of the Farm Bureau, Tuesday evening. eve-ning. The proceeds will go toward to-ward the finishing of the Relief Society house. Miss Caroline Reber left last Saturday for Salt Lake City, where she will spend a week visiting vis-iting with friends. Miss Thora Leavitt left last Friday Fri-day for Los Angeles for a short visit. The annual costume party given by the elementary grades was very successful again this - year with many clever costumes being shown. Prizes were given to Ilene Reber, first grade; Hazel Jones, second grade; Lela Turner, third grade; Otis Abbott; fourth grade; Lucille Pulsipher, fifth grade, and Murray Harper, sixth grade. |
