Show HURRICANE Miss Julia Whitney Reporter The Hurricane city library just received some new books from the Carnegie Endowment for International Inter-national Peace. They are: "Cross Winds of Empire", by Remington; "Totalitarian, Won and After", by Sforza; "Here's To Canada", by Duncan, "We Escaped", by Neil-son, Neil-son, and "An Amiable Adventure", by Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Bliss an-ounce an-ounce the marriage of their daughter, LaMeda, to Raymond R. Wieber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur G. Wieber of Toledo,, Ohio. The marriage took place in Evan-ston, Evan-ston, Wyo., Oct. 28th. A Hallowe'en party was given by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Eager on Friday to which 16 guests were present. Hallowe'en games were played and light refreshments served. Mr. and Mrs. Acil Jones of Overton, spent Tuesday visiting with her sister, Mrs. G. Fenton Whitney. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dalton left Thursday for Salt Lake City where Mr. Dalton has employment. employ-ment. Miss Vaun Hinton, who is working work-ing in Hollywood, arrived Sunday Sun-day for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Hinton. Marion Hinton just returned from Salt Lake City where he spent a few days visiting with friends there. Price Workman, who is working in a mechanic shop in Salt Lake City, spent the week-end visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Workman. Leland Black was a Sunday visitor at the home of Miss Christie Workman. Mrs. Lula Tobler and daughter, Carma, spent the week-end visiting visit-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn M. Webb. Ether Hastings, who has been visiting with his mother for the past three weeks, returned to San Francisco Wednesday. Mrs. Dell Smith of Cedar City spent Saturday visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George A. Gibson. Mrs. Demore Ray of Meadows is here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stratton. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Imlay of Cedar City were Sunday visittors at the home of his mother, Mrs. Ada Imlay. Stanford Spendlove, who is working in Las Vegas, spent the week-end visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Lor-enzo Spendlove Jr. Edward Kupherer, who is working work-ing in Las Vegas, spent the weekend week-end here visiting with his wife. Mr. and Mrs. LaRue Stratton of Las Vegas are here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Spendlove Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bradshaw and family of Cedar City spent the week-end visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Woodbury. Mrs. Deloy Gulman of Cedar City spent Saturday visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Gibson. Miss Wealthy Campbell, who is working in Cedar City spent Saturday Sat-urday visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Campbell. Mrs. Sarah Hinton just returned from a three-weeks' visit with her daughter, Mrs. Marion Terry, in Enterprise. Mrs. Delworth Iverson and small son, Delworth, of San Diego, Calif., is here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Spendlove Jr. The name of Mrs. Dot Shipley, as production chairman, was omitted omit-ted from the list of Red Cross officers of-ficers published last week. |
