Show WASHINGTON Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes Reporter Mrs. Zina Prisbrey arrived home Wednesday from Salt Lake City, where she had spent a week visiting vis-iting her children. The first D. U. P. meeting for the fall was held Friday at the home of Mrs. Martha Tanner. A quilt was raffled off and won by Mrs. Cuba Hall. Mrs. Tanner and her daughter, Mrs. Rocha Pax-man, Pax-man, served. The Hallowe'en costume ball sponsored by the Mutual Thursday Thurs-day night proved a great success. Entertainment for the night consisted con-sisted of "Lucky Spot Dancing", and "Fishing From the Pond". After this, apples were served to alL Prizes were given the persons wearing the best costumes. C. R. Connell and Haven Pax-man, Pax-man, who are employed in Las Vegas, spent last week-end with their families. Mrs. Willard Williams and children of Kanarra are visiting with her mother, Mrs. Zina Prisbrey. Pris-brey. Karren, Hannig and Ferrol Prisbrey Pris-brey joined with the Schmutz girls and Fern Prince in a Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en party at Middleton Friday Fri-day night. Our Relief Society officers made a campaign of our town last week for new members. Many people from here attended attend-ed the church welfare meetings held in St. George Saturday. Smith Prisbrey is employed at the Jankele service station. There will be a farewell party for Quinten Nisson and De Wayne Adams Saturday night in the school gym. The boys leave November No-vember 12 for the Army. . Mr. and Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes motored to Beaver Monday after receiving a call to come, due. to the serious illness of his mother. |
