Show St. George Jaycee Tells Of Plans For Fight Tournament This Winter Plans for an amateur boxing tournament to be presented during dur-ing the winter months were announced an-nounced by the St. George Junior Chamber of Commerce directors following a board meeting held here last night. Winning entrants will be given a special trophy as well as being sent to the A. A. U. tournament to be held in Salt Lake next spring. Neal Lundberg was appointed chairman of this new Jaycee ac-ticity. ac-ticity. Those backing Mr. Lundberg Lund-berg declare that his previous experience ex-perience n handiling similar programs pro-grams gives him a background to assure a successful program. In commenting on the reason why the board went on record favoring such a program, Frank Holland, president of the organization, organ-ization, stated that it is their opinion that this type of sport is beneficial to young men from the standpoint of health, training and teaching young fellows to train their minds and bodies in perfect (Continued on page five) Jaycee Fight Plans (Continued from first page) coordination.
