Mrs. Douglas Manning and daughters, Wilma and Veon, left Saturday for their home in Green River, Wyo., after visiting the past month with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Beatty. Sunday afternoon, Miss Ruth Savage of Leeds occupied the time in Sacrament meeting reporting her missionary experiences and treating the subject, "The Second Coming of the Savior". She labored la-bored in the southern states mission. mis-sion. Mrs. Bessie Fish of Long Beach, Calif., is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Beatty. Leon and Donald Duffin left on Monday for their homes in Los Angeles, after spending a few days visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Duffin. Their father has been bedfast for the past month. Loren Higbee and Mrs. Lila Hull of Los Angeles are visiting at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Higbee. B. H. Forsythe returned home Monday from Los Angeles, where he has been for the past three weeks. Mrs. Antone Bowler and children, child-ren, Jeanne and Bruce, arrived Saturday from Arlington, Va., to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Slack. Tuesday afternoon the tree planting ceremonies were held for planting the two trees for the Relief Re-lief Society. A talk on "The Value of Trees', was given by Bishop W. A. Slack. The centennial Relief Society party was held Tuesday evening in the ward hall with the follow- ing . program: Singing, "Song of Triumph"; prayer, H. A. Jackson; Jack-son; song, by Singing Mothers, "Merry Dance"; talk, "Organization "Organiz-ation of Relief Society", Bishop Leo Bringhurst; radio broadcast, "Highways for Americans", under the direction of Mrs. Jennie C. Lamb; Singing Mothers, "Peace I Leave With You"; skit, under the direction of Mrs. Dan Klein-man. Klein-man. Lunch was served and the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing. |
