Show LaVERKIN Pansy L. Hardy Reporter Mrs. Donworth Gubler is ill at the home of her mother, Mrs. Augusta Wood, of Hurricane. Bishop and Mrs. Vernon Church have as their guest, Mr. Church's mother, of St. George. Mrs. Amelia Sanders has been receiving medical care at the Iron county hospital at Cedar City. Her son, Moroni, brought her home Tuesday, and it is hoped her condition will rapidly improve. New cases of mumps and measles are reported here by Mrs. May Gubler, health nurse. DeVor Gubler is suffering with an inflamed eye, which he seriously ser-iously hurt while trying to strike a fire with a file and flint, and some of the flint flew into his eye. Dr. Mclntyre removed the flint, but the eye is still inflamed. Willard Duncan, who is working work-ing at Hawthorne, and who has been seriously ill. is reported improving. im-proving. Mr. and Mrs. Harris Merrill of Las Vegas have purchased the home of Bishop and Mrs. LaFel Ivcrson, while the Iverson's have bought the Ed Gubler home. Carl Friscknecht, extension poultryman from the U. S. A. C. mot with the poultry growers of Hurricane and LaVcrkin Monday night, at Sanders brothers hatch-en-, and discussed problems with thorn. He stated that Washington county ranks second in the product pro-duct ion of poultry, principally turkeys.
