Show Lee Hafen Home Is Setting For Trousseau Tea For Miss Naomi Fordham Beautiful in every respect was the trousseau tea given Sunday, Mar. 15th, from 3 to 6 p.m., by Miss Naomi Fordham, fiancee of Ralph Browning Piatt, with more than 200 relatives and friends calling during the afternoon. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hafen, uncle and aunt of the bride-elect, furnished the setting for the event and was tastefully decorated with potted plants and cut flowers for the occasion. Guests were met at the door by Mrs. J. W. Prince, Mrs. Hafen and the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Jacob Frei, of Santa Clara, receiving re-ceiving them in the living room. Pouring for the afternoon was Mrs. Marion Bowler, with Miss Vivian Prince serving, gowned respectively res-pectively in white lace, and an old-fashioned model of dotted blue muslin. The serving table, spread with a heavy lace cloth was centered cen-tered with a bowl of narcissus flanked by lighted princess candles. Mrs. McKay Neilson in a formal of wistaria taffeta was in charge of the utensils' and china display. Miss Lorna Fordham, sister of the bried-to-be, in a colonial dress of black and white dotted muslin displayed dis-played the linen and silver, and Miss Fordham dressed in pink brocade bro-cade was in the bride's own room. Included among her many pieces of linen were pieces trimmed in netted lace made by 87-year-old Mary Ann Hafen of Bunkerville, Nev., and crochet work done by her grandmother, Mrs. Jacob Frei, along with much of her own handiwork. |
