Show Eleven Boys from County Leave To Join Army The following Selectees left Friday, Fri-day, March 13th, for induction into the Armed forces at Salt Lake City. Ira Newl Cox, Jesse Rea Booth, Edward Brown Lund and Walter Mc Arthur, all of St. George; Vere Frank Hafen and Clifford Pris-brey, Pris-brey, of Washington; William El-bern El-bern Sagers, Enterprise; Frank William Anderson, Pintura; Warren War-ren Carbine Taylor, New Harmony; Har-mony; Elbert Pack, Leeds; and Melvin Truman Cox of Hurricane. With the exception of Ira Newl Cox, all of the men were accepted into the service of the U. S., Mar. 14. In order that the people of the county may become fully acquainted ac-quainted with the boys who are in the U. S. armed services, the full list, as furnished by the Selective Se-lective Service board will be published. pub-lished. Service board members report that there has been some comment com-ment as to each community feeling feel-ing that each has been sending more than its proportion. Board members feel that a study of the list will prove otherwise. This list will be published in the near future. |
