Show OVER THOUSAND VISIT ZION IN MARCH Due to good weather and road conditions, con-ditions, travel to Zion National Park for the month of March, reached a a total 273 cars and 1,188 visitors, it was announced at the office of the National Park Service in Ogden. This figure is four time greater than the best previous record for the month, March 1926, when 315 persons entered the park. Of the total number of visitors, 1,165 came in 273 automobiles; while 23 arrived ar-rived by stage. The total travel for the 1928 season, which started on October 1st, is 3,572 people, of which 37 came by rail, and the remainder in 1,101 autombiles. The total for the season on the same date last year was 1,121 visitors in 355 cars, an increase so far this year of over 30 per cent. All roads leading to Zion are in excellent ex-cellent condition. Cars have had no trouble reaching the park every day during the past winter. During the last few days it has been possible to drive to the rim of Bryce Canyon from Panguitch and other nearby towns. However, the road to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon from Fredonia is closed, not even construction cars being able to make the trip across the Kaibab Plateau. The only accommodations for visitors visit-ors in the park at present is the public pub-lic auto camp, which may be used by persons who have their own camping equipment.
