Show FOREST SERVICE MEETING IN OGDEN The first meeting of the Regional Forest Protection Board for Utah, Nevada, Southern Idaho, and Wyoming Wyom-ing west of the Continental Divide, will be held in the U. S. Forest Service Building, Ogden, Utah, on April 11th, it was announced by E. T. Scoyen, Superintendent of Zion Park, who is also temporary chairman of the board. Tire board is composed of members of Federal Government Departments who are directly interested in forest protection work either because they have forest lands under their jurisdiction, jurisdic-tion, or because their work brings them into touch with forest protection problems. ' The purpose of the board is to bring closer cooperation between government govern-ment department interested in saving our rapidly diminishing forest resources, resourc-es, in order that more effective protective protec-tive measures may be taken. This applies ap-plies especially to the fire situation in which a well worked out and carefully coordinated plan of fire prevention, detection, and suppression, will eventually event-ually save the government a large amount of money. |
