Show Box Elder topples Cats The Box Elder Bees, second place team in the 1981 3-A state tournament, stung the Union Cougars, 34 to 18 at Box Elder High School, December 22. Fausett's opponent grabbed a takedown in the first round for a 2-0 lead and Fausett nabbed an escape. The Union crew will host the Cougar Classic, Saturday. The finals will begin at 7:30 p.m. Union, South Summit, Ben Lomond, Carbon, Altamont, Murray, Intermountain and a junior varsity team will take part in the tourney. "We wrestled a little flat in the meet with Box Elder, but it was still a good meet. We (Union) won five and they (Box Elder) won seven. Cundall lost by three points to Mike Richards and Smoot beat Nelson by only two points. McCook will be going down to 112 pounds and Stacy Hadlock will be at 119 pounds. Fausett moved from 112 to 105," stated Union coach, Brad Isom. The Cats will host Lehi, January 13 and will take on Morgan in an away meet, January 20.
