"Good nonsense is good sense in disguise." Josh Billings Christmas greetings they received trom President Presi-dent Reagan. The four are the grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Garth Horrocks. Recipients of the President's Christmas letter were Quin Merrill, son of Brent and Cindy Merrill; Joshua Horrocks, son of Susan and Brad Horrocks and Danny and Bodie Rasmussen, sons of Gale and Sandy Rasmussen. The President wished the four boys the happiness of the Reagan's first Christmas in the White House, and reminded them of the true meaning of Christmas the birthday of the Christ Child. "I used to question why Christ, who had the power to perform miracles, chose to enter this world as a helpless infant," Reagan said in his letter. "Now I believe that by coming to us as a child, totally dependent on the care of His parents, He was teaching His first lesson that we should care for each other." The four boys' aunt, Cydne Horrocks Watterson, used to work for Senator Jake Gam and put their names on the president's mailing list, explained their mothers. "The years teach much which the days never know." |
