Toshihiko Ayai tied Utah's Jeff Good at 7-7 in a 121 pound match and was awarded the win because he had more back points. "He 'Good' was big and is different from Japanese wrestlers. I thought my most effective moves, because he was so tall, were single leg and ankle pick," said Ayai. The team leader on the Japanese National Team is Yoshihiko Ota and he remarked, "It has been wonderful and has been a good learning experience for me. This area is really spread out. It is hard to get used to the food. We get sick once in a while, but we will get used to it soon. There is a lot of meat with the meals in America. We eat soup, rice and raw fish in Japan.
