"Dee is probably the number one reason we have the Japanese National Team in Vernal and Utah. She made many phone calls and used some of her own money to make sure the Japanese would come out" said Henry. "She asked if Vernal would like to host the meet in Utah with the , Japanese and we told her that we would be more than glad to have them. Last time the Japanese were here they said they enjoyed Vernal most of all." Henry added, "Loretta Reynolds is probably my right arm and helped with the program for the Utah All Star Japanese National Team Meet. Her son, Josh Reynolds, wrestled for three years at Uintah High School and her daughter, Joni Reynolds, is a member of the flag twirlers at Uintah. The Simons from Salt Lake City gave up their New Year celebration as they drove the Japanese wrestlers to Vernal; back to Salt Lake and to Grand Junction Junc-tion for a meet in Colorado. It must have meant a lot to them. We would like to thank the Japanese wrestlers for coming to Vernal. The members of the , Utah team appreciated it."
