His son Jay spoke. Ilia Chivers sang 'That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine." Earl Reary sang "Home on the Range." Lunch was served to the family and friends after the services. Matt and Virginia spent Christmas and New Years in Salt Lake City with Matt's 82-year-old mother. Their son and wife from Denver flew in to spend Christmas with them. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Helquist took Carol's mother Mrs. Rose Furgensen to Springville Monday to spend the week and then went on to Logan to spend New Years with their daughters. They came home Wednesday and it took them 8 hours to get here due to the storm. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hoopes visited church at the branch Sunday. Clifford Pike went to Coalville and Evanston Sunday on business for the oil company he works for. Sherry Rasmussen spent the holidays here with her mother Mrs. Kay llasmussen. Speakers In church Sunday were 'resident Lee Jensen, Clay Frandson from the High Counsel and Bart Morrill from Dallas, Texas. Students home for the holidays were Kendall, LeAnna and Mary Arrowchls, BYU; Darla Pike, LDS Business College; Petulla Kowchee and Cynthia Red Foot from Sherman Institute and Marcadis Tapoof of Intermountain. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hoopes and girls are spending a week in Mesa, Ariz, visiting Mary Lyniss and children. John Dicky has been working In Wyoming for the past two weeks. Clay Simmons of Rock Springs spent Monday visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Don Simmons. Mr. and Mrs. Bart Morrill and son of Dallas, Texas spent the holidays with their parents Mr and Mrs. Bumps Eldredge and Mr. and Mrs. blayne Morrill. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mullins and son spent Christmas with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Don Simmons. |
