Show Restricted chemical applications license training sessions In order to purchase restricted chemicals such as Tordon, Parathion, Strychnine, etc., it is necessary to have a Private Applicator License. To receive a licence, applicants must do one of three things: study the manual and take a test, take a Home Study Course, or attend a Private Applicator Training session. Most farmers prefer to attend one of the training sessions, according to Steve Cox, Extension Agent. Just by attending the school, applicants ap-plicants receive a Private Applicator license. The training program is beneficial to farmers and qualifies them to purchase restricted chemicals. In order to purchase poison grain for prairie dog control, persons must have a private applicator license and take a special session on prairie dog control. This program will qualify individuals to purchase poison bait for prairie dog control. To help those that cannot attend a day session, two meetings are scheduled in Roosevet during the evening. Both sessions ses-sions are necessary to qualify. In Vernal Ver-nal a one day meeting has been scheduled. schedul-ed. This one meeting will qualify persons per-sons for a Private Applicator license. Roosevelt sessions will be held February 6 and 7 at the Moon Lake Electric Building from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Vernal session is Thursday, February 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Uintah County Courthouse. This scheule is designed so that persons per-sons can attend the two evening meetings in Roosevelt or the one day meeting in Vernal. For more information informa-tion call Steven Cox at 789-1542. |
