Show - i f " . ';-., . I ; ; j; ; ARTHUR M BOREN Art Boren funeral services Arthur M. "Art" Boren, 66, died Nov. 22, 1980 at his winter home in Phoenix, Ariz. Born Oct. 3, 1914 in Cedar View, Utah to Leonard and Flossie Riche Art married Erma Smuin whom he later divorced. He married Stella Atwood Nov. 26, 1946 in Elko, Nev. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Art was a retired contractor for American Gilsonite. He was also a rancher and member of the LDS Church, 6th Ward in Vernal and 40th Ward in Phoenix. Funeral services were held for Mr. Boren Friday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. in the Vernal 6th Ward Chapel. Bishop Marland Stagg was in charge. The family prayer was given by Lyle Slaugh and the prelude music was played by Lowe and Rea Goodrich. The song "Somewhere My Love," was chosen and performed as a piano solo by Debbie Cook. . The invocation was given by Kent Boren, Remarks were given by Marland Stagg. Following Bishop Staggs remarks, Dawn White and Dorothy Peltier, accompanied by Melba Eaton, sang "Whispering Pines" and "May God be With You." Ralph Siddoway was the speaker for the service and he was followed by a musical selection of Western songs by Wayne Hall. The benediction was given , .byBlain9 Pierce. , , Pallbearers were DeMar Boren, Terry Boren, Gerry Boren, LeRoy Kuchler, Frank Hardinger, and Rudy Cordova. Honorary pallbearers were brother and grandsons. The Vernal 6th Ward Relief Society was in charge of the flowers. The grave was dedicated by Daniel Clark at the Vernal memorial Cemetery. |
