Show I Tridell 1 I Lorna ITIcKee I I Phone 247-3177 I Russel Goodrich leaves for LDS mission Mr. and Mrs. Rae Goodrich went to the Salt Lake airport Monday to see -their son Elder Russell Goodrich off for his mission to Des Moines, Iowa. Elder Goodrich has been in the MTC for the past month. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Simmons went to Provo for the Thanksgiving holidays where they spent it with the Walter Ridgley family. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Simmons went to Vernal to spend Thanksgiving with Mrs. Simmons' grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Haslem had all their family with them for Thanksgiving Day with the exception of Elder Wade Haslem who is serving a mission in Illinois. Those traveling from ouside the Basin to be with the Haslem family were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Goodrich and family, Bountiful; Julie Haslem, Logan; and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Ruiz and daughter, Provo; and Elizabeth Morrill, Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Lon Brinkerhoff are the parents of a baby boy born Monday Nov. 24 at the Uintah County Hospital. The baby weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and will be named Alonzo Riley. The Brinkerhoffs now have three children-2 girls and a boy. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo LeGrand Brinkerhoff, St. George and Mr. and Mrs. Devon McKee. Elder Bruce Wilkerson is now laboring in Hitchin, England. Elder Wilderson will return home in January after serving an LDS mission for two years. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Sanders, Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Errol Merkley and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lennis McKee and family spent Thanksgiving day with the Laurence Brighton family. Several people attended the missionary testimonial in Whiterocks Sunday for Debra Hoopes who has received a mission call to Calgary, Canada. Mrs. Ralph McK-ee is a patient at the Duchesne County Hospital in Roosevelt. Ray Natani arrived home from Farmington, N.M., Tuesday after visiting his family. Elizabeth Morrill, Bountiful visited a few days last week with the Ray Haslem family. Friday Mrs. Lynn Hardy took her mother to Vernal where she will visit their family for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. DeVon McKee received word from their daughter, Phyllis McKee, that she has just been transferred tran-sferred from the southern end of the mission in Genova to the northern end of the mission in Como, Italy. This is near the Switzerland border beneath the Alps. Spending part of the Thanksgiving holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Michael McKee were Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Hunt, Smithfield; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Einerson. Blanding; and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Beatty, Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wallace have moved into their new home. They celebrated Thanksgiving by having the Gene Wallace family and Bernie Woollard family eat Thanksgiving dinner with them. Peggy Ahlborn spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ahlborn. Peggy lives in Salt Lake City and is employed by the Grani'e: District.
