Show Police blotter According to traffic accident statistics released by Sgt. Chuck Hill, city police, two accidents occurred last week totaling $2,500 in damages. At 1000 West Main, Gregory Stewart, 18, lost his brakes and ran into a vehicle driven by Alan Hatch, 45, March 15. Damages were listed at $1,000 to the Stewart vehicle and $500 to the Hatch vehicle. Stewart was cited with faulty brakes. Also on March 15, Raymond W. Winn, 38, ran into the back of a vehicle driven by Delores Ashta, 41, of Randlett. The Winn vehicle received $1,000 in damages to the front end. Winn was cited with following too close. Criminal statistics released by Sgt. Robert Downard, city police, show a juvenile being charged with aggravated assault and Gary Furra, 26, being charged with brandishing a firearm. On March 17 subsequent to a an aggravated assault complaint, the two were arrested, reported police. Jerome D. Day, 17, reported being assaulted when getting a pair of keys at Petro-Chem. On March 18, Tom J. Snyder, 48, was charged with disorderly conduct. While at JB's, Snyder loudly and verbally attacked Sgt. Robert Downard, distrupting those present and creating a scene, reported Officer M. Cantu. |
