Show Blanch Smith to host Cultural Arts Club Mildred Hacking was hostess to the Cultural Arts Club on March 11. Members and a guest, Barbara Hall were served a taco luncheon. Maude Goodrich gave the history of Tora Neilson Starkey, who was the mother of Mrs. Byron Goodrich. Mrs. Starkey came from Denmark to America in 1866 and to the Uintah Basin in 1887. She endured all the hardships of the early settlers and died at the age of 99, The next meeting will be at the home of Blanch Smith on March 25. Ruth Jensen is responsible for the program. |
