STATEMENT OF NON-DISCRMINATION. NON-DISCRMINATION. "Moon Lake Electric Association and Uintah Basin Telephone Association Associa-tion have filed with the Federal Government a Compliance Assurance in which it assures the Rural Electrification Administration Ad-ministration that it will comply fully with all requirements re-quirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 14 and the Rules and Regulations of the Department of Agriculture issued thereunder, to the ond (hat no person in the L'nited States shall, on the ground of race, color, sex, or national origin, bo excluded ex-cluded from participation in, bo denied the benefits of or bo otherwise subjected sub-jected to discrimination in the conduct of their program and the operation opera-tion of their facilities. Under this Assurance, those orgniimntiaons are eomittod not to discriminate against any person on the ground of race, color, sox or national na-tional origin in then-policies then-policies and practice relating to applications for service or any other policies and practices relating to treatment of beneficiaries and participants par-ticipants including rates, conditions and extensions of service, use of any of their facilities, attendance atten-dance at and participation participa-tion in any meetings of beneficiaries and participants par-ticipants or the exercise of any rights of such beneficiaries and participants par-ticipants in the conduct of the operations of these organizations. Any person who believes himself, or any specific class of individuals, in-dividuals, to be subjected by these organizations to be discrimination prohibited pro-hibited by Title VI of the Act and the Rules and Regulations issued thereunder may by himself or a representative represen-tative file with the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington, D.C. 20250, or the Rural Electrification Electrifica-tion Administration, Washington, D.C. 20250, or these organizations, or all, a written complaint. Such complaint must be filed not later than 180 days after the alledged discrimination, or by such later date to which the Secretary of Agriculture or the Rural Electrification Administration Ad-ministration extends the time for filing. Identity of complainants will be kept confidential except to the extent necessary to carry out the purposes of the Rules and Regulations." Published in the Vernal Express Mar. 20, 1980. |
