Show Gallery gets lease from city The Vernal City Council decided to lease an 82 x 25 ft. piece of land north of Dinosaur Gardens as a location for the Little Gallery of Arts. Seven members of the Little Gallery of Arts met with councilmen last Wednesday in an effort "to save the gallery." Recently the gallery has been moved from the multi-purpose room of the county library because of expansion, ex-pansion, but the new location given to the gallery on the east wall of the library isn't large enough to display the paintings, confirmed gallery members. Mrs. Don Hatch, president, told the council they desire to move a house on 500 North to a location in town, and asked the city for help. After being assured the building would be suitable and seeing pictures of the problem with space in the library, Councilman Jack Stagg moved to lease the ground to the gallery for 15 years. After finding it too expensive to move the house on 500 North, the gallery has contacted an architect in Salt Lake City who will design an appropriate building for the newly leased location, Mrs. Hatch said Tuesday. Meanwhile the gallery will keep looking for an alternate house to put on the spot, she added. THE VERNAL CITY COUNCIL leased this piece of property to the Little Gallery of Arts for a future location of their art dispalys.
