Doughty Steel of Grand Junction has only a little more welding and painting paint-ing to do until the tank can be turned over to the city, ready for use. Clegg Construction has some of the settling ponds excavated, and is working work-ing on the pumping station. sta-tion. Some dynamiting has had to be done to ready the plant site, but things are shaping up across the river where the plant will be located. CITY WATER SYSTEM Pollard Company has pipe racked up several places in town, and is getting ready to lay pipe over existing lines so that hookups can be made next spring. Green River is enjoying enjoy-ing its usual nice weather, and Mayor Hatt states that all contracts are well up or ahead of schedule. Mrs. Florence Howland, Mrs. Charlotte Seely and Mrs. Scott Anderson. Mrs. Howland and Mrs. Anderson Ander-son . are presenting Mrs. Seely with a fondue pot as a gift from Woman's Club in appreciation of heading the "Let's Light Our Town" festival. |
