Show Visitation Figures Released At Dead Horse Point Park Visitors at Dead Horse Point State Park totaled 1,276 persons for the month of November, compared com-pared to 1,153 for the same periods last year. This represents an 11 per cent increase in November No-vember visitation at the park. Totals for the year were 67,609 compared to the same 11 months in 1972, when visitors totaled to-taled 70,713. This is a 4.4 per cent decrease. The park visitor center is now closed for the winter win-ter months, and will reopen re-open about March 15 of next year. The park campground will remain open through the winter, however. For those wishing wish-ing to camp, it would be advisable to bring water, wa-ter, according to Superintendent Super-intendent Mike Barker. Water is available during dur-ing the summer, but the system is drained for the winter. In addition, Barker said that the fee at the park has been discontinued during the winter, and no fees will be charged until un-til the visitor center is again open.
