Show More Events on Tap During Holiday Season Saturday, Dec. 1, kicked kick-ed off An Old Fashioned Christmas in Moab with Santa Claus parade, special spe-cial promotional attractions attrac-tions by merchants, Santa, San-ta, and a children's movie. The highlight of the day came at sunset, as strings of lights festooning Main Street were turned on for the admiration of kids and oldsters alike. Lights will be turned on in a very limited way this year to conserve energy. Participation in the t parade were entries frorr) i churches, business and ; clubs, totaling some 13 i entries. During theafter-: theafter-: noon, Santa saw a total ) of 858 children at the i Courthouse, giving each an admonishment of Christmas be-goods, a promise of toys and a lollipop. The Walt Disney movie "The Th. ee Lives of Tho-masina" Tho-masina" was shown from 4 to 6 p.m. at Star Hall, with an overflow crowd attending. No admission was charged. , Merchants report that boxes are filling fast with entries for the color te-. te-. levision to be given away , by the Chamber of Com-', Com-', merce Dec. 22.
