Show New Minister Assigned Here By SDA Church The Moab Seventh-day Adventist Church has the services of a new assigned assign-ed minister. Paster Henry Hen-ry D. Jeffries has come from a 3 year retirement at Cedaredge, Colo., to fill the vacancy created by the transfer of J. B. Currier to Vernal. Starting his career as a pastor-teacher, he was ordained to the ministry in 1941 and subsequently subsequent-ly served churches in Albuquerque, Al-buquerque, N.M., South--western Junior College at Keene, Texas; Alham-bra, Alham-bra, Y'ucaipa, and Fuller-ton, Fuller-ton, California; finally serving as associate pastor pas-tor at the La Sierra Campus Cam-pus of Loma Linda University. Uni-versity. Since his retirement the Jeffries have engaged engag-ed in evangelistic work in Utah and Arizona. They have two sons, Dr. Donald Jeffries, a dentist in Bakersfield, Calif.; and Ronald Jeffries, Jef-fries, a sociology major at University of California, Califor-nia, Santa Barbara. They also have four grandchildren. grandchil-dren. Pastor and Mrs. Jeffries Jef-fries live at the church parsonage at 434 West 4th North in Moab. |
