Show Westminster College Trustees Reelected Salt Laker Named Moderator of Utah Synod .During .Dur-ing Presbyterian Session at Church Six trustees ot Westminster college were reelected and a new one named Tuesday during sessions of the 31st annual Presbyterian synod of Utah and Women's Synod ical of Utah. The Rev. J. Elbert Nash, psstor' of the Third Presbyterian church, was named moderator of the Utah Synod at sessions Monday night In the Westminster Presbyterian church, 175 West Fifth South street. Trustees named Tuesdsy for three-year terms are George A. Critchlow, Dr. E. D. Hammond, the Rev. Robert D. Steele, who also Is college president; H. R. Waldo, Mayor John M. Wallace, all of Salt Lake City, and Dr. A. D. Birber, Ogden, all reelected, and H. Ross Brown, Salt Lake City, new member. Approximately 150 delegates to the Joint sessions of the Synod and Synodlcal Tuesday afternoon heard Dr. Walter D. Howell of Philadelphia, secretary of the church's board of Christian Education, Edu-cation, outline a church policy of social education to combat war propaganda. Other speakers were Dr. Alva Vest King, Hastings, Neb, representing repre-senting the board of national missions, mis-sions, and Miss Mary E. Moore, San Francisco, western secretory for the board of foreign missions. |
