Admitting speeding 45 miles an hour in a 30-mile zone, Carlyle Wilcox, 25, of 349 South First West street, was sentenced to pay a $5 fine or serve two days fn jail. Admitting his truck carried faulty lights, he was sentenced to pay $2.50 more. When Howard Thompson, 23. of 807 West North Temple street, and Frank Paluso, 23. of 24 West Third South street, admitted speeding, each was fined $5, with the alternative of two days in jail. L. F. Ford, 53, of Provo, admitted speeding charges and was sentenced to pay a $25 fine or serve eight days in jail, with $15 of the fine suspended. Benjamin (irover, 28, of 145 Fifth East street, received a $5 fine, suspended, when he pleaded guilty to speeding. When William Wil-liam Norman Barber, 775 North Second West street, failed to answer an-swer a speeding charge, his $25 bond was ordpred forfeited. Lawrence Watson. 734 East Ninth South street, denied charges of hit-and-run driving and failing to report an accident within 24 hours. Trial on both counts was set' for October 4.
