Show T Xow Chiefs of Public Health Officials j STATE HEALTH MEETING ENDS PRICE With business dockets cleared, annual convention of the Utah State Public Health association associa-tion drew to a close Wednesday with a final session at 9:30 a. m. Dr. William M. McKay, Salt Lake City, presided at the meeting, which was for all members of the Utah state board of health. Election of offlc rs to pilot the association for the coming year and their installation held the limelight Tuesday. Those elected are Dr. Samuel G. Paul, Salt Lake' City, president; Dr. J. L. Jones, Salt Lake City, president-elect; Dr. Charles M. Smith, Provo. vice president; S. E. Gilchrist, Salt Lake City, secretary; D. Crawford Houston, Hous-ton, Salt Lake City, treasurer. Executive Group . Following are the members of the executive committee: Dr. H. L. Marshall. Salt Lake City; E. H. Bramhall. Salt Lake City; Miss Jeanette Rosenstock. Provo, all of whom will serve until 1941; Lynn M. Thatcher, Salt Lake City; Miss LaVema Peterson, Logan, and Dr. E. L. Van Aelstyn, Price, the latter lat-ter three members to serve until 1940. P. H. A., the second making the treasurer a member of the executive committee. Talks Made The first part of the meeting was held In conjunction with the A F L. J. J. Bloomfield, Washington, Washing-ton, D. C, presented a paper on an industrial hygiene program for Utah, followed by Richard T. Page, also of Washington. D. C, who elaborated on the problem. The two groups then divided and the medical group proceeded with business of the day. Closing address ad-dress was by Dr. Maud Gerdes of Chicago, who spoke on obstetrics In relation to a modern public health program. At 6 p. m. convention visitors met at the country club for a banquet ban-quet and installation of officers. Dr. E. L. Van Aelstyn was toast-master, toast-master, with E. H.
