Show Tea Meeting Planned by St. Mark's Hospital Charity Group; Opera Club to Meet By THE CLITI EDITOB The tea planned by members of St Mark's Hospital Charity association asso-ciation on Friday at th. homt of Mrs. C C. Parsons, 1220 Yale avenue, av-enue, will be quite a gala affair, with all friends of the organization In attendance. A business meeting at 3:30 p. m. will precede the so- I rial affair. Members of the board of the association as-sociation include Mrs. Robert R. Hampton, president; Mrs. John M. Boutaell, first vice president; Mrs. S. A. Steler, second vice president; Mrs. William F. Koch, secretary; Mrs. M. A. Keyser, treasurer, and Mrs. A. L. Hoppaugh, Mrs. H. M. Ferguson, Mrs. Russel L. Tracy, Mrs. Annie G. Hurd, Mrs. Frank C. McCune, Mrs. F. M. Wlchman and Mrs. Clifford J. PearsalL directors. Members of the sewing and dressings committee of the association associa-tion will begin their activities next Wednesday at 9:30 a. m. at the nurses' home. Opera Club Begins Its Activities The Opera Appreciation club, composed of musically minded Salt Lakers, will begin Its winter activities activ-ities with a meeting Thursday at 2 p. m. at th. horn, of Mrs. Lester F. Hewlett. 1470 Military way. Th. club meets once a month and at each meeting a different opera is studied. Th. first act of "La Tosca" Is th. subject of th. first meeting, under th. direction of Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Hayes Simpson. Mrs. Leland Van Wagoner will accompany th. following members who will take part In th. program: Mrs. Simpson, Simp-son, Mrs. Boyd C Bott, Mrs. Charles S. Gardiner, Mrs. Clarlbel W. Wallace, Mrs. F. Large Tea Given By Democrats Two hundred and fifty women gathered at th. Newhoua. hotel Wednesday afternoon for the opening open-ing meeting and membership tea of th. Women's Democratic club. A busineaa meeting, at which Mrs. Junius Fisher, president, presided, preceded the tea. Lovely asters In whit., lavender and purple ihades formed attractive attrac-tive centerpieces on the two tea tables, -each table being covered with a lac. cloth and lighted by whit, tapers In silver candelabra.
