Show NEW SLASH MADE IN PRICE0F LEAD NEW YORK. Nov. 4 UP The second reduction of $5 a ton In the price of lead in two days was announced an-nounced today by leading producers. produc-ers. The new price is 8 to 5.0ft cents a pound in New York and 4.85, St. Louis basis. Companies announcing the cut included in-cluded American Smelting and Refining Re-fining company and St. Joseph Lead company. Lead has been as high as 7.75 cents a pound tnis year, tne peaK being reached in March, when non-ferrous non-ferrous metal prices staged a boom. From mid-March to April successive succes-sive declines, however, brought the price down to 6 cents a pound. A rebound then carried it to 60 In early August, since which time six successive reductions have brought the quotation to the present level.
